A Kitchen Born
from Family Love
Yana Kitchen is a small, family-oriented home kitchen tucked away in Panauti, Kavre, run by Rasna Shrestha and her family. It is not a restaurant. It is not a hotel. It is simply a warm home where the door is always open and the stove is always on.
Rasna grew up in a Newari household where food was never just fuel. Every morning began with the smell of timur and mustard oil, every festival was marked by a platter of samay baji, and every gathering ended with everyone a little fuller and a lot closer. That is the feeling she has always wanted to share.
She started Yana Kitchen so that travelers, food lovers, and curious souls could walk into a real Nepali home, roll up their sleeves, and cook something they will never forget. The recipes are her family's own. The kitchen is exactly as it has always been. And every guest who sits at her table leaves with a full stomach and a warm heart.
